The blessing of our new baby – Praise Your holy name for the blessing of our precious baby that You have so graciously given to us. You told us to be fruitful and multiply and I thank You that You have blessed me by making me fruitful – truly, children are a blessed blessing from the Lord.

I remember reading that You blessed Sarah with Isaac and Hannah with her Samuel and now in your grace, You have blessed me with my own precious blessing.

The blessing of our new baby

I bless Your name forever and ever and pray that my little one in turn may be a blessing to You. Give me wisdom to bring up this little one to love and to trust You as their Saviour – Guard and guide – keep and protect us all in the days that lie ahead and bring us all into Your everlasting kingdom of Your dear Son – as we wait for that Blessed hope – the glorious appearing of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, in Whose name I pray.
