Prayers for the faithful

Whether you are praying for family, school, or those who have gone before us, rejoice always and trust in the Lord to provide and protect. He is all-knowing, all around us, and all-loving. His love never falters and neither does His strength. When you feel weak, merely turn to the Lord and bend your knee in prayer to regain your footing. He is always faithful and will never leave you alone.

Lord of All, my Alpha and Omega, I come before You in all faithfulness, knowing that You and You alone are the solutions to my problems. Bring me peace about the decisions I am facing and help me see Your hand in everything that I do. I’m here to serve you, Lord, and all I ask is that You make use of me. I trust You to guide me and to protect me. Amen.

PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL WEDDING

In the name of God, I pray for your protection over this couple. Bind them together in Your name, Lord, and bring them an abundance of life that will see them through the good times and the bad. As they go forward in their new life together, I pray that You will show them the path You intend them to follow. Bring them peace as they follow You, O Lord, and may their love for You and for each other always remain strong, regardless of the circumstance. Help them to remember to turn to You when things seem bleak and bring them happiness and joy in all that they do. In Your Name, we trust, Amen.

I ask that You create an environment conducive to study and aid me as I strive to serve You more each day. Let me be a shining light to others in my classroom. God and Father of us all, we come before you to thank you for Your great mercy and goodness, shown to us. You have made a family in the Church, with strong bonds and everlasting love. We pray that you make us a mirror of Your love, piety, and justice in the world. Help us share your love within our families, loving with Your eternal love. Stir up the champions of the family that we may bear the message of Jesus Christ, that parents may exercise authority over their children and children obedience to their parents. In Your Name, we trust, Amen.

PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL FOR CHILDREN

Lord Jesus, I come to you in my time of need, to beg Your mercy for my children as they go forth into the world. Please look after them and surround them with your unbreakable hedge of protection. Keep them safe as they bear witness to Your all-encompassing love and mercy. As these children are exposed to things in the world that they know is wrong, I pray for the strength to resist temptation and to stay strong in their faith in You, O Lord. Amen.

Dear God in Heaven, we give thanks for the mercy you have shown us and fall upon our knees before you, asking that you consecrate each person here with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Give us a year of Your grace and bring us, Your church, into your glory. Let us rise as Your visible face here on Earth, let us share the gift of your mercy and grace with everyone that walks the Earth. This we pray, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
